It is dedicated to ensure: # to be a management and operations tool # to be an entry point for all Egee actors for their operational needs # to manage the available informations about EGEE VOs and related VOs # to monitor and ensure grid day-to-day operations on grid resources and services Each actor of Egee will then be able to enter or have access to informations from an operational point of view according to its role into Egee - what we define as an actor's view: # VO views : actions depending upon VO Managers and VO administrator # VO mb views : actions depending upon VO members responsabilities # RC views : actions depending upon RC responsabilities # and so on with COD, ROC and OAG Home section of the portal is public. Other sections are secured using certificates and SSL authentication. ################################### Main changes from v-4.7 ################################### Main changes are presented in 6 groups: 0- Background - technical changes 1- New features 2- Improvements of existing features 3- Bug fixes 4- Failover related work 5- integration and parallel work additionnaly, the exhaustive development list is published at the end of this document, giving for each development the following information: - purpose of the development - entity or person requesting this development - end of development date 0- Background - technical changes ################################### N/A 1- New features ################################### REGIONAL DASHBOARD ------------------ A read-only dashboard, based on the model of COD dashboard, has been put in place in RC and ROC sections. This dashboard allows to browse current SAM alarms and open GGUS tickets for a given user. User<->Region mapping is based on GOCDB roles. - Browse new SAM alarms for the region and review corresponding details - Browse open GGUS tickets for the region and review corresponding details - View synthetic list of Scheduled Downtime for the region - view synthetic details pages for all sites of the region - View overal region status on gridmap 1st LINE SUPPORT DASHBOARD FOR CENTRAL EUROPE --------------------------------------------- Following requirements from CE region team, a specific dashboard for 1st line support in Central Europe has been added. It is physically integrated to the Regional Dashboard described above, with special rights. 1st line supporters can act on alarms younger than 24 hours, and pass information to COD team when necessary. 2- Improvements of existing features ################################### EGEE BROADCAST -------------- - A link has been added in the bodymail of broadcast to access to the broadcast in the archive , if the broadcast is publically archived . EGEE BROADCAST ARCHIVE ---------------------- - The old broadcasts are now present in the archive but without the associated scope . - For recent broadcasts ( since december 2007 ) , the associated contacts in cc (carbon copy) are now visible in the archive . VO ID CARDs ------------ - Remove "capability" from the VOMS "groups and roles" field - Introduce a column to hold the flag: "Use this Group/Role for account generation at the site? - Add the date of last changes of Id Card in the Id Card , and change it when the VOMS or the group has changed . - Add the name of the person who proceeds to change info and which changes in the mail sent to Vo Manager and OAG COD DASHBOARD ------------- COD dashboard has been adapted accordingly to the introduction of the CE 1st line support dashboard. Alarms younger than 24hours raised for CentralEurope nodes are not displayed. 3- Bug fixes ################################### - Bug fix in VO card XML dump. some illegal characters were still present in the XML, causing the parsing to fail. 4- Failover related work ################################### N/A 5- integration and parallel work ################################### N/A ################################### Development details since last release ################################### ------- 12/2007 ------- + Broadcast Archive : implement a mechanism to retrieve old broadcast (before december) - asked by Lev Shamardin + provide, in RC and ROC section a read-only dashboard for sites and regions(list of Scheduled Downtimes and failed tests per site/region) - CIC + Site admins + Implement a dashboard for CE 1st Line support, and consequently adapt COD dashboard - ROC CE + VO ID CARDS: Remove "capability" from the VOMS "groups and roles" field - ESC + VO ID CARDS: Introduce a column to hold the flag: "Use this Group/Role for account generation at the site?"
