The CIC Portal is online at URL http://cic.in2p3.fr


This website has been created as a part of the SA1 activity.  It is dedicated to ensure:
 
# to be a management tool for CIC objectives
# to be an entry point for all Egee actors for their operational needs
# to manage the available informations about Egee's VO
# to monitor and ensure grid day-to-day operations on grid resources and services

Each actor of Egee will then be able to enter or have access to informations from an operational 
point of view according to its role into Egee - what we define as an actor's view:
 
# VO views : actions depending upon VO Managers and VO administrator
# VO mb views : actions depending upon VO members responsabilities
# RC views : actions depending upon RC responsabilities
# and so on with CIC, ROC and OAG


Home section of this web site is public. Other sections are secured using 
certificates and SSL authentication.

CIC staff section - CIC-on-duty Dashboard
-----------------------------------------

A new version of the CIC-on-duty dashboard has been integrated to the release.
This dashboard is separated in 5 sections:
	- List of open tickets
	- List of sites with problem (entry point to create new tickets)
	- Overview of Scheduled Downtimes
	- Summary and links to other useful monitoring tools
	- Hand over /log section

All data sources are got using the Lavoisier service, and cross-checked to build high level views as clear
and efficient as possible.

The ticket/mail creation interface has been improved to allow easier and faster creation.


ROC staff section - Resources per ROC
-------------------------------------

A high level view of resources available per ROC has been set up, on the model of the VO dashboards.

It gives information, for each region, on:
	- List of CEs with corresponding queues, nb of CPUs and supported VOs and softwares
	- List of SEs with available/used space
	- Resource Brokers
	- RLS

This high level view is built using Lavoisier, and the same datasources as the ones used for the VO dashboard.



VO Management section - Weekly VO Reports 
-----------------------------------------


Following requirements from Operations Meeting chair persons, a VO weekly report mechanism has been set up,
on the model of the ROC weekly report.

VO managers, deputies and expert are able to fill a report for their VO. This first version contains :
	- VO name
	- Submitter's name
	- Date of report / week
	- Contents (text field)

This is a first version, further improvements will be integrated in next releases.



Other changes
-------------

- Cc and Bcc fields have been added to the EGEE BROADCAST tool

- An overview of current developments has been added in the Home section

- In the scope of EGEE II, the "CIC portal" will progressively be named "CIC Operations Portal" 








All functionalities existing before 3.1 are of course still available.
